Scrap Metal
I know that Christmas is over but I can't seem to help myself. I always seem to default back to Christmas cards when I reach for card stock. I think one of my New Year's Resolutions should be to try and create at least 2 other types of cards for every Christmas card I make.
The card was made for Ildi Co's Creative Challenge #7 - Scrap Metal. We were to make cards using nothing but scraps (except for the base) and at least some metal on it. I went a bit overboard with the brads but it was lots of fun. The trees are made from paint chips. My husband is a real sweetie. Every time he has to go into a hardware store, which isn't often, he will come back with paint chips for me to play with. I know that technically paint chips aren't scraps but I keep them sorted by colour in my scrap folders so it is still using up paper bits.

This is such a cute Christmas card and what a clever idea to use the paint chips to make the trees! It turned out really well, thanks for playing along at ICCC!
ReplyDeleteVery neat card, and I like the effect of using the paint chips--what a great idea! Thank you for playing along with the Ildi Co challenge.
