Oh the Maple Leaf, the Maple Leaf...

I'm trying a new technique.  My scraps are exploding out of their file folders so I thought I'd work on using up some of the small strips I have.  I wove the white strips and then trimmed my edges to 4.25 inches squared.  I then stamped on my panel using Stamping Up's retired Autumn leaves with TH's Barn Door Red.  I love this colour.  I then distressed the edges with Black Soot and mounted the panel on a scrap of Cherry Cobbler.  The card is 5.5 inches square so it's not small.  This did not put a dent in my scraps so you may see this technique again...  In fact you may see many cards focusing on using up scraps in the next little while.

Challenges this Card Meets:
Speedy TV - Memorial Day.  We don't celebrate Memorial Day here in Canada.  We honour our veterans on November 11th.  However, remembrance is always important so I thought this would be fittingly patriotic for the challenge.
