Boogie Woogie Choo-Choo Train

Okay, this was an experiment.  I am trying a number of new-to-me techniques.  For an experiment that will be a little boy's birthday card, I'm satisfied.  I tried the Speedy TV Technique Challenge to make your own train tunnel.  I didn't have an embossing folder or stamp that would work, so I cut tiny bricks 1 cm by 3/4 an inch.  I used two different paper cutters, hence the different units of measurement.  I then distressed each edge and attached it to a piece of Close to Cocoa.  I was almost a little disappointed to cover all that work with the black and yellow for the tunnel entrance.

My second new to me technique was the sponged clouds.  I still need to play with it but I was impressed by how effective this simple technique is.  Once I stamped the trees several times, I then sponged the green "leaves" and the grass.  The trees are Stamping Up's "Lovely as a Tree" and the sun is from "Summer Fun".  My only train stamp is huge so I used a scrap from a layout that I made last year for DS.  My youngest is train crazy so this will go to him or one of his little friends.
