Dogwood Blossom

I was so excited, my Dogwood Blossoms from Mark's Finest Papers arrived today and I had to break them out.  I loved how quick and easy it was to colour this since I'm still not in a colouring mood yet.  Getting there.  The challenge on Friends of SpeedyTV is to try one of their tutorials.  Since I've wanted to try candle decorating for a while, here you go.  I did use one of our emergency candles since I wasn't sure how it would turn out.  Talk about quick!  I'd heard people raving how they make great Christmas presents and now I know why.  My only mistake is I used my embossing heat gun rather than the hairdryer.  This is a little too hot and can cause the wax to drip really quickly.

I just checked the post box today and it turns out that my Pussy Willow set has also arrived today.  (I sometimes send parcels to my husband's company box if I won't be home.)  I don't understand the post system.  They were sent out 3 weeks apart and arrive on the same day.  I was terrified it had gotten lost.  Stand tight for some of those images too!

Challenges this Candle Meets:
Friends of SpeedyTV - Try a new technique
Everybody Art - Anything But A Card
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - Pretty in Pink
