Happy New Year!

I am actually surprised by how quick this was once I had an idea.  I had to play with it in my head for a little bit and I'm a bit disappointed I couldn't find the tree image that I wanted.  I was hoping for something a little smaller to give a more stark look but this works too.

I started by sponging the landscape in Mellow Moss.  The sky was sponged with Broken China and I used a scalloped circle from my largest Nestie to create a mask for the clouds.  The sun was created by masking copy paper to create the rays and I used Scattered Straw.  The sun was just a happy coincidence of using such a large sponge. The trees are MFP's In the Woods set and the sentiment is from their Pussy Willow set.

Now I only have about 3o more New Years cards to send since I didn't get organized before Christmas.

Challenges this Card Meets:
Speedy Fox and Friends - Sun and Clouds
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Use it Tuesday - Thinking of 2013
