Triceratops Stampede

DS had a dinosaur themed birthday and the table cloth was just too gorgeous to throw away.  I will have dinosaur images for the next 20 years!  I will now ask people hosting kids parties to save their tablecloths.

I managed to cut the image a bit too rounded in the corners and decided to add the photo corners to hide my boo-boo.  The card is 5 x 7.  The DP is more from Costco.  The image is so large and colourful that it just doesn't seem right to embellish it too much, especially since this is a little boy's birthday card.  I have no illusions that most boys even look at cards and I have noticed that many families at the parties don't notice either so unless the card is going to someone I know, I try to keep it simple.

I printed the inside sentiment on the printer to say "Wishing you a DINO-MITE birthday!

I am really excited about a  new Challenge/Card Donation Blog I just found called Send A Smile for Kids.  They support Vancouver Children's Hospital as well as several other Children's Hospitals in Canada and the United States.  Each hand-made card donated is either used for children in the hospital to write notes to family and friends or by the families and staff to cheer on children that have to stay there.  Children's Hospital is truly an amazing place and I was so grateful for the wonderful care that they provided when we needed it.  I am currently making up a box of cards to donate and would so appreciate any support from other card-makers.  Please see their blog for donation guidelines and shipping address.
