It's Christmas in July on SpeedyTV's Sketch with a Twist this week and I never need a second excuse to make Christmas cards. More so this year since I've given several gift boxes of cards as thank you gifts this year. I used my favourite image from Christmas Cardinals and two poinsettias that have been in my stash forever.
The gold border on the image was created with a Sharpie marker. I highly recommend gold and silver Sharpie markers for this purpose. One trick I've learned though is to turn the paper so that you are always drawing the line down towards your stomach. The line is always straighter than if you try to draw a line sideways. I don't know why, I just have found it works. The same is true with all my students so there has to be a reason. If you know, I'd love to know why.
I hope you'll join us. While I know it seems early, Christmas tends to sneak up on us card-makers.
Challenges this Card Meets:
