Halloween Birthdays

I have two family members with Halloween birthdays.  They are probably my favourite cards to make in the year.  There is so much free licence.  Today's Simple Salutations is to use Halloween colours and this paper which always seems too Halloween-ish for anything else but not scary enough for the holiday seemed just perfect for a change.

This card looks like lots of layers (11 at the heaviest) but really only uses a quarter of a sheet from each colour with the exception of the base.  I cut out of the centres of the covered layers to try to keep the weight down.  The present is paper-pieced and comes from MFP's Presents set along with the sentiment.

I do hope you'll join us.  You don't need to make a Halloween card, just use those colours.

Challenges this Card Meets:
Loves Rubber Stamps - Halloween
That Craft Place - Halloween
Twisted Tuesday - All Round Anything Goes
