Hap-Pig Birthday

Groan, I know.  But I love puns.  Their at the level of my students and I always get a laugh with them.  This week on Sketch with a Twist, Vicki is having us make birthday cards and since I have a family member that adores pigs, this is perfect.  The image is from MFP's Country Charm set and I paper-pieced the pig.  I didn't have a sentiment to go with it so I computer generated it.  I've learned that I can set up my desired font and test it on a regular 8.5 x 11 page through my printer and then take my cut to the desired size DP and tape it to the page that I printed with minimal tape.  I've never lost a piece or jammed my printer and I've done this about 300 times.  (I make all my students and DS's Valentines this way so yes, its been at least that many times.)  Occasionally the paper will shift, like above, but it always works.  I've found that using no name tape is best because it's less sticky and it's easier to take off the DP without tearing or pulling off the ink design.

I hope you'll join us and no, you don't have to use a pun on your birthday card, but I'd love it if you did!
