And Have Yourself A Merry, Little Birthday Now

Just for fun, I decided to enter the Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge to make a Christmas-sy Birthday card.  Actually when I saw the challenge idea, the sentiment idea popped into my head.  This is a one layer card.  I found a really neat trick for printing sentiments on one layer cards.  In Microsoft Word, I leave page 1 blank.  This is the back side of the card.  On the second page, I set up my individual sentiment to fill one page.  Yes it will look big, don't panic.  Today's was very easy because I wanted it pretty much centered on the page.  When I go to print, I then go to print options and print 4 pages on a paper.  It will print exactly where I want it and I just have to cut my paper in half and fold.  I do always do a test sheet just to check my sizing but it's very easy.  Then I stamped my cupcake and masked the cupcake and the ornament in order to add my blue background and my snowflakes.  The snowflakes come from the new Calendar set.  The cupcake is a retired stamp called Birthday Cupcake.  I simply masked off the cherry to add the snowflake.
