Love Is Like a Butterfly

One should never make cards when exhausted.  I don't care to admit how much cardstock I mangled cutting seven, yes seven, ovals in my attempt to make this card.  That said, I have made it through report cards, Christmas concerts, hosting family dinner for eleven after working all day, kiddie birthday parties and Christmas preparations.  I am rocking if mangling cardstock is the only problem I'm having.

This week's challenge on Sketch with a Twist is to make a Thinking of You card and I was really enjoying the break from Christmas cards.  I used my new "Lots of Words" set from Mark's Finest Papers for both the image and the sentiment.  I really like the size and shape of the butterfly.  I lucked out and the three Copics I bought today perfectly matched the background paper that has been sitting in my stash because I wasn't able to match anything with it.  Serendipity!

I do hope you'll take time to join us this week!

Challenges this Card Meets:
MFP's Sketch with a Twist - Thinking of You
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Everybody Art - Not a Christmas Card

  3. Oh, I hear you with the mangled card stock. Non-stampers have no idea the trauma we encounter in our craft, and why cards don't cost $1.00. I'm glad you stuck with it, because it turned out great! Thanks for joining us at Shopping our stash!

PS: Do I NEED to add another challenge to my list of things I won't get to? Sigh.
