Blooming Good Day

Isn't it scary?  Sometimes a great idea needs another attempt.  I had wanted to do this card in yellows and pinks, like a dogwood flower.  However, the combination of Melon Mambo and my yellow Copics, made the center of the flower look orange.  DH agreed it looked like I'd been colouring with highlighters.  Not exactly the look I was going for.  I loved the layout however, which I'd borrowed from this week's "Less is More".  I decided to retry it again with new colours.

Hello to my second attempt which I do actually like.  The flower is from MFP's Huge Blooms, which works with this week's MFP's Simple Salutations Challenge to use flowers.  It's coloured with Copics.  The sentiment is from MFP's Lots of Words.  I'm really hoping they do more of these larger sentiments.  The card is one layered.  I used post-it notes and then sponged the band of green in Wild Wasabi.  I think this would make a great notecard set.

What a difference a change in colours make!
