Dad's a Star
I just had a horrible or great realization depending on how you look at it. I am going to need to make 14 Father's Day cards. I had better get started! Just think: two kids plus myself requires a card each for DH, my father, my grandfather and our "adopted" Papa. Add cards from my brothers to my father and voila - 14 cards.
I'm using this card as a template for my "Glitter and Glamour" card swap on SCS. I'm quite proud of myself for making a masculine card out of that topic.
The top panel is made out of Bashful Blue and has been sprayed with glimmer mist. So pretty! The base is made our of Creamy Caramel. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed in silver. It's from SU's All Year Cheer (retired). I have cut the sentiment words apart so that I can mount them on my block as I wish. I haven't used this stamp for several years because I didn't like the layout of it. It just dawned on me that I could change it today. DUH. I love EZ Mount!
The stars are diecuts of scoretape which I have coated in silver and gold glitter and then attached to my card. The overall effect is so simple but it took me forever playing with it to get it so I was happy.
Challenges this card meets:
A Spoonful of Sugar - Celebrations (Father's Day)
Delightful Sketches and Challenges - Texture (Embossing - Dry and Wet)
Meljens - Dry Embossing (Swiss Dots)
Paper Sundaes - Use Kraft and Blue (I don't have Kraft so I used the next closest colour, Creamy Caramel)
Simon Says - Father's Day
Stampin B - Masculine Card
The Cuttlebug Spot - Dads and Grads
The Pink Elephant - Use Bright, Fun Colours
