All The Leaves are Flowers
Have you ever had a card that screamed at you to be made? This is that card. There have been so many fall themed challenges recently and I have this stamp set from SU that I've barely touched since I bought it. I thought it would be so useful but the stamps are just a touch too big for what I would normally do on a standard card. When this sentiment came up last week on Sentimental Sunday's blog, I just had to try.
The card is 5x5 inches and first sponged with Close to Cocoa. I wanted the slightly distressed look and the white was too stark. I then tried "thumping" for the first time where I inked the leaves in More Mustard and then using my SU markers, I just touched the rubber in spots with Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I love the variegated colour effect. The sentiment was printed on Old Olive from my computer and popped up on recycled rubber. The flower brads were in my stash. They are in fact mounted evenly, one looks slightly higher than the other in this photo and I'm not sure why.
All in all, I'm quite happy with myself.
