I created this card for the VSN Challenge of Splitcoast Stampers - What is an Inukshuk? I love listening to people try to pronounce the word when they aren't familiar with it. My aunt just calls them the directional statues. My brothers and I used to build little ones on the beach. We only smashed our toes a couple of times. Inukshuks are used for many purposes by the Inuit people for navigation, as a point of reference, a marker for hunting grounds, or a food storage. There was a big local Olympic controversy over why an Inuit symbol was chosen over a symbol used by our local nations since we don't have Inuit here in BC but we do have over 100 hundred different Aboriginal Nations and the Olympics are held on the traditional territories of four local nations.
Okay, back to my card. I've submitted it in the following challenges:
Lexi's Creations - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Ribbon-tastic
Quixiotic Challenge - One for the Boys. A baby boy card hopefully counts.
Marianne Design - Baby Card

Charisma Cardz Challenge, Cute Card Thursday, Delightful Sketches and Challenges, Grab Bag Swap, Masculine, Simon Says Challenge
