You're Dinomite

When I found out that Paper Makeup with going to stop producing rubber stamps, I went on a buying spree.  I love their stamps and will so miss their sentiments.  This image is one of Dustin Pike's dinos.  I love these images since they make such great little boy cards.  I always need those.

The Pumpkin Pie background was stamped with SU's little background.  I then used an old piece of card stock and covered it with small bits of masking tape.  I rubbed Distress ink all over it and then covered the that with clear embossing powder to set the ink so it won't rub off.  The background looks green even though I used blue ink because of the yellow tinge of the tape.  Once I'd finished creating my background, I ran it through my Big Shot to get the shape I wanted.  I am so going to do this again.

The dino is coloured with Copics.  Not my usual colour choices but DS loves it and so does DH.  He even asked me about how I made the background.

  5. cute card! I also hang out on scrapbook.com and they have a card challenge each month. This month the technique challenge is the faux leather look that you did with the masking tape. I really want to try it but need to get some clear embossing powder!
