Secret Garden

I worked on and off all day to clear off my dining room table, a.k.a my craft area, so we could have company and the clean slate called to me.  DH laughed when he came down at 11:30 to find the table completely covered once again.  What can I say, the table begged me to come play.  It was lonely with nothing on it.

I have to say, I'm loving my TH distress inks.  I've always loved this PSX image but it always seemed very harsh in black because it does have many thick ink lines.  I played with various shades of brown and it worked.  It just screamed vintage to me.  I think I may also play with doing it in shades of green now.

The sentiment if from Mark's Finest Papers, I inked the "Thinking"first and then stamped "of You" below.  The stamp is actually all in one line.  I love how you can do that so easily with clear stamps, especially with the gridded stamp block.

The flowers on the bottom were actually to cover up the ladybug at the bottom corner of the image.  It's so cute but I didn't want to add red to the image.  It always draws the eye down to the bottom corner unless the heart and the seed package also use red.

So much for finishing my next ten pages of scrapbooking but I just found this to be so relaxing.  I love the fact that card making doesn't require the same level of planning for continuity that scrapbooking requires.  I often can't think that clearly once the kids go to bed and I get the chance to craft.

Challenges this card Meets:
Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge - Friendship
Speedy TV's Simple Salutations - Garden Theme without flowers as a focus
