Falling for You

I was given a small bag of multi-coloured Flower Soft almost a year ago by a friend and have been waiting for the perfect idea to come.  Inspiration hit!  I decided I wanted to make a fall free and used an image from Mark's Finest Paper's, glued over the branches and sprinkled it on.  If you want to make this, I highly recommend you cut your die cut first and not after the fact like I did.  It would be so much easier.

I wanted to participate in the MFP's challenge to CASE a card.  I go by the Splitcoast rules for Copy and Share Everything, which requires you to give credit to the original person and change at least two items.  I chose this card by Debbie Moran.  I liked the tree image but added flower soft.  I kept the paper panel and ribbon but changed the image and sentiment panels from rectangles to an oval and tag. While still a sympathy card, I also changed the sentiment.  I think it would work well for a guy so I'm happy.

Challenges this Card Meets:
Friends of Speedy TV - CASE
Speedy TV's Simple Salutations - Fall/Autumn
Scrapbooking Cafe Online - Fall/Halloween
Crazy for Challenges - Anything Goes with a Fall Twist
Creative Card Crew - Tree

  4. Hi Christine! This card is lovely. Your creative use of the Flower Soft immediately caught my eye. It gives such rich texture and realistic life to the tree. Great job! You actually have many lovely cards here on your blog, and I really enjoyed "browsing". Thanks for that!!!

Since you're already signed up at MFP Speedy TV, and playing in other challenges, I'd like to warmly invite and welcome you to participate in the SKETCH WITH A TWIST challenge there. I am the Hostess of that challenge, and would be SO honored to have you play along. I post a sketch each week, and I know you would be awesome at creating something lovely to share.

Also, I have another challenge blog called Word Art Wednesday. At this challenge blog, you can link up anything that's basically G-rated (uplifting, encouragaing, sweet sentiments, or scripture, etc.) This card, for instance, would be PERFECT for our challenges there. I would be honored to have you play along in either, or both of these fun challenges, and we would be so blessed to have you!

Have a great weekened, and I really hope to see you soon.
    Blessings,
    Karen Letchworth
