Christmas Card Crisis

Christmas is coming.  I've already got the lights on my house.  Forgive me, it was sunny and that happens so rarely in November here.  I can feel myself gearing up for the holidays.  I think the report card writing does it to me.  Anything to procrastinate...

With that in mind, I'm making more Christmas cards.  I decided to use the Cardinal in my Presents set from Mark's Finest Papers.  DH wants this card to give a co-worker since he says it looks like an Angry Bird.  Once a geek, always a geek!  Personally I love the new poinsettia die.  I'm so going to have fun procrastinating with that one this week.

This week's challenge on Sketch with a Twist is to use a button.  Mine is the centre of the poinsetta.  The image is paper pieced.  I really wanted to use that small patterned paper for the present.    I was worried about trying to cut out the pine needles but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

I have managed to make over 40 cards this year for Christmas and somehow there are only about 15 in my stash.  Hmmm.  Where do they all go?  Maybe I should stop allowing family to raid my stash when needed...
