Happy Birthday, Tiger

This week's Simple Salutations Challenge is to make a masculine birthday card.  Yeah, I always need tons of them.  The image and stamp is from November's new release from Mark's Finest Papers, Tigers.  I can see this getting used alot.  I admit, I had to look up images of tigers to colour it but it was super easy.  I simply shaded by general area rather than necessarily having to follow lines.  Interestingly I always think of tigers as orange but I coloured him in my earth tone Copics (E11, E13, E33, E34 with W1 and W3 for his main and eye areas) and I really like how it turned out.  I then shaded the background and the sentiment paper with Y000 just to soften up the white paper.  The part I find funny is the DP I chose.  It was part of the Costco pack DH bought me and I smiled but wasn't sure what I was going to do with a lot of it.  Howevery, this is the last of this particular background (of 6 sheets) and I never thought I would touch it.  It just goes to show.

I may have to play again this week since I have three male December birthdays.  Hope you'll join us!
