Today's Sketch with a Twist is to make a card using a bird or an animal. I still needed a card for DS's teacher so I thought this would be fun. DS loves to give cards with bling. He feels the more bling, the more he shows he cares. The image comes from MFP's new Birdcages set that is coming out this month. I hand drew in the perch because he looked a little silly with his claws curled up with nothing to hold. The parrot was fun to colour because there is so much variety in parrot colours. The sentiment was generated on my computer. What can I say, Valentine's is the perfect time for puns. The bling is all leftovers from DS's Hundred Day collection. What can have more status in Grade 1 than 100 pieces of bling? It's cool from both the girl and guy perspective.
