Happiness and Rhinestones

Today's challenge on MFP's Simple Salutations was to make an elegant card.  Hmm, I am many things but elegant is not what usually springs to mind.  However, I had just bought some gorgeous rhinestone buckles since I need to make some wedding cards for work.  Rhinestones are always elegant in my mind.

Not trusting myself, I looked on Splitcoaststampers and decided to go with Sketch 473.  I then chose MFP's Huge blooms because it would be hard to make an inelegant card with it.  (Yes, I have managed it!)  I created a background by stamping the blooms with Versamark and then heat embossing with sparkling, clear embossing powder.  Unfortunately, I made the tragic mistake of trapping white, I mean pink, space in the middle and that threw the whole thing off balance.  So I stamped the same bloom, embossed in white and fussy cut it out.  To make it pop, I added some leaves that I had curled around a pencil for depth and popped the flower up on some recycled rubber.  The sentiment is from this month's MFP's Bundle of Joy set.  I love the sentiment, thinking it would work for birthdays, graduations or engagements.
