The Trip to Pirates' Cove

I had fun getting inky this week.  MFP's Speedy Fox and Friends challenge is to doodle a frame.  I struggle with doodling.  I like everything to be "just so".  That's when I came up with the pirate treasure idea.  At least then, my doodling would look purposeful.  I started with white card stock and inked the whole thing with TH's Frayed Burlap.  I then added a large circle of Vintage Photo around the edges to make a frame and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain.  The image and sentiment is from MFP's Pirates sets.  I drew the X and the "map" frame using my Real Red marker.  This card works for my family since we are all very into geocaching, a treasure hunting type of game.

  1. Perfect card for this week's challenge. I may have to copy it as one of my sons and daughters-in-law do a lot of geocashing and they would definitely get a kick out of it.

  3. I really like how you drew the "X" and the map frame. My husband has always been interested in geocaching, but we've never done it. Super inking to make the paper look old. Really cool! Thanks for joining in at ATSM's CAS challenge. Melissa-DT
