Eleven for the Price of One

It's been an age since I posted.  I've missed blogging.  More to the point, I've missed card making.  Recently I've only made cards when I'm madly scrambling for something as I'm going out the door to an event.  It's not as fun.  I'd like to come back to it.

I've been reading a clean and purge thread on Splitcoast and was inspired to use up some of my stash.  I had recently bought a new file folder for my scraps and they didn't fit so I've got some work cut out for me.  When I saw the Back to Basics challenge to complete a One-Sheet-Wonder, I decided to get serious.  I used the pattern from Shawna at Teacher's Pet as my starting point.  Instead of one sheet, I used four 6x6 pieces from Echo Park's Winter Mittens set.  I pretty much only have 2 more sheets to finish off the packaged.  All the images and tags came from my stash and I was really happy to get such a wide selection.  Everything but the card bases came from the scrap pile.  I played with this on and off for two days.  I am procrastinating with starting my June responsibilities.  As a type A personality, I even start my procrastinating early!  This was pretty time consuming because I was making all one offs but I still think I would try this again.  I like the fact that they don't all have exactly the same paper.  Sometimes I don't like the traditional One-Sheet-Wonders because the cards can be so similar.  What can I say - I get bored easily.

This was my first.  I managed to use up 9 sympathy cards within a one week period over spring break and need to build up my stash.  The image is from a thank you card I received at the end of last year.

The image is an old Inkadoo one that my oldest had coloured years ago.  My kids love to craft with me so I often have a selection of their colouring to make into cards.  Somehow this one had gotten lost in my pile.  I added some Wink-a-Stella to give it a bit of sparkle.

Yes, I found a purple snowflake in my stash.  Don't ask! The sentiment was from a misc. piece of designer paper that I fussy cut out.

The die is from MFTs and the snowflake stamp is from Stampin' Up's Colourful Seasons.

This sentiment is from the same piece of DP as the Peace, Love Joy banner.

The sentiment came from MFT's Amazing set and
the sentiment was from Stampin' Up's Celebration selection from this year.

This is probably my favourite "thank you stamp" that I own.  I also have the French version.  It's from Stampin' Up's So Very Much set.

The stamp set is So Very Kindly from Stampin' Up.

Used a recycled tag.  Somewhere I have a "No Peeking" sentiment that I want to add to the bottom but I can't find it for the life of me!

This one was my favourite.  The funny part was the layout was made up to hide the fact that I have a large chunk of the purple paper missing.  I had wanted to use this paper for the project and figured it would only impact one card so I decided to work around it.  The stamps are from Casual Fridays.

Some leftover ribbon from a gift and stamps from Casual Fridays.
