Hush, Little Baby

Wow, I was hyperventilating a bit making this card.  I don't do patterns well.  I find them very intimidating and here I used 10 different patterns on one card.  Yeah me!  I'm actually really enjoying this current shift away from colouring and doing strictly stamping and playing with paper.  All the paper used was from my scrap stash - the base had a terrible ink stain on it from falling on an ink pad but now who will know?  Except for you but hopefully the recipient is not a follower.  The image is also from my stash and is Stamping Up's retired So Many Scallops.

I loved the idea of this card.  It was also inspired by Papercraft's Card Creations Volume 10.   It was based on Kim Kesti's card on page 13.  Hexagons seem to be in right now.  I've had this punch for at least 5 years.  I was thinking of getting rid of it since I'm not sure I've ever used it.  But it looks great here.

Anyways, Kim's colours were very bright and cheerful.  I was just happy to find several patterns that had the same colour tones.  I want to know where all this pink is coming from.  I am not a pink person.  I don't own a single article of pink clothing.  How do I have so much pink paper?
