Modern Christmas Twist


I was going through my stash and found this green tree tag.  As I went to pick it up, it fell onto this DP that I had pulled out to make Valentines.  At this point, I listened to inspiration.  The layout is from this week's Sketch Saturday.  The ribbon and flourish are both Certainly Celery.  I know that flowers are not normally what you think of for winter mitts but I seem to have a shockingly low selection of black and white DP.  My normally supportive DH asked me why I'd added an "oven mitt" to my card and where was the other one.  Grrr.

    What a fab card Christine, you've really shown this this combo makes an excellent non traditional Christmas card! I love the sparkle and the swirls!

    I suggest hubby needs a few whacks with an oven mitt LOL!

    Great card Christine! I LOVE Christmas cards with nontraditional colors. Great use of the black designer paper for the trees, and I love that pink swirl look. So glad you found us at Inkspirational! Looking forward to seeing more of your creations!

    Great card! LOL Husbands have a way with words, don't they??? I never know what mine is going to say. He likes cards I can't imagine him liking....doesn't like the things I think he will like...etc! They are so funny. Your card is great and I sure never would have thought of an oven mitt!!!
