Who could resist these two? Our Sketch with a Twist challenge this week is to make a Winter card.
My husband came by as I was making my base panel. The card was covered in post it notes and I was cutting post-its to make the small uninked rectangles. He asked if I was writing a thank you to the post-it note inventor. Honestly!
The base was a lot of fun, despite my husband's derogatory comments. The snowflakes are from MFP's Calendar set. I stamped them in Versamark and heat embossed them with glitter embossing powder so it's very shimmery in real life. It's too bad it didn't photograph well. I then inked everything in Brocade Blue. I so miss that colour. I wish I'd bought more when it was retired. I then stamped the sentiment with MFP's Brrr set. The penguins are recycled from a Christmas tag from last year.
Challenges this Card Meets:
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Snow
Craft Your Passion - Baby, It's Cold Outside
Come and Get It - Winter
Pile It On - Recycle/Upcycle (The penguins came from a tag.)
This is adorable! Love those penguins! And, your background is gorgeous!
