Thinking of You Over Coffee
One of my best friends had a relative that was in a terrible, head-on collision and will be in the hospital for a long time. I've given her all my "thinking of you", "get well", "just because", and even friendship cards so that she can give her something with every visit. I want to be able to keep them coming so you may see lots of "thinking of you" for the next little bit.
This week's challenge on Speedy Fox and Friends is a technique challenge. You are to heat emboss your focal image with clear embossing powder onto DP, not regular card stock. Then ink the paper to give an emboss resist. You can find the tutorial here.
I like how mine has that shabby-chic look that I can never seem to create. I used paper from My Mind's Eye. The image is from MFP's Java Time. The pearls were on my table to give away. I may have to keep them now. The sentiment is from MFP's Roses. I used Frayed Burlap sponged onto the DP to give it the aged look. I wonder how it would look if I was more daring with colour?

ReplyDeleteGreat looking card! Makes me want a cup of coffee!!!
ReplyDeleteYour card has a soft, warm look, and the cup only adds to the warmth of the thoughtful sentiment! I hope your friend's relative recovers quickly and I'm sure your cards will bring comfort!
