Heart of Gold
I'm sorry, my post is late. It's been crazy in our house this week. We are celebrating a little person's birthday and the yah-yah has been non-stop. I'm so glad I'll get to craft tomorrow. Shhh don't tell I'm on the computer now.
This week's challenge on MFP's Speedy Fox and Friends is to make a gold embossed background. I had to think on this one for a long time. I was inspired by the bokeh techniques that are so popular right now. I used my glossy cardstock, created a mask for the centre using a piece of diecut copy paper and added then some Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Victorian Velvet randomly. Rather than adding the white circles, I added my gold embossed hearts from MFP's Calendar set. This was fun. The sentiment came from MFP's Swans set and was stamped in versa fine. It feels very dimensional but is a one-layer card. I may actually have to try the bokeh technique next.
