Shine Bright...

I'm on a Bella kick I think.  Either that or a use up my stash kick again.  I love this Bella.  It reminds me of my sister, Twinkle Toes.  As a kid, her report card often had comments about her having great ability but would be more successful if she did not dance or tap her feet in class all the time.  She's going through a tough time right now and could use a bit of brightening up.

This card is all stash.  The green base in one of my last two green Brazzil pages that I got a closing down sale of a LSS.  The image was pre-coloured from my stash.  The DP was part of a card kit and was in my scrap pile.  The pearls were in my give-away pile.  The sentiment came from my Say Everything set from Freshly Squeezed Stamps.  Have I mentioned, I miss them before?

On the Pitch

I'm so glad that soccer season is coming to a close.  Standing in the rain all winter is not my idea of a good time.  Unfortunately, it was not my son's either.  That said, his coaches were amazing and deserve lots of recognition.  They were super positive and supportive, even with him being the youngest on the team.  This card was inspired using a tutorial from Michelle Zindorf found here.

I'm using this card as my submission for this week's "What's That? - Wednesday".  The stamp is Goal, retired from Stamping Up, which I had bought second hand for when my eldest was playing 2 years ago.  The sentiment is from Freshly Squeezed Stamps, "Say Anything" set.  The star rhinestones are also 2 years old.  I'd bought them for DS's 100 Day at school and then his teacher wanted something else so they were absorbed into my stash.

For My Coach

It's that time of year again.  I've had to make 4 cards for coaches on my son's soccer team.  How can a team of eleven kids have four coaches?  Due to the proximity of Valentine's Day, I  reused two ideas from last year since we have different coaches but here's a new one.  I used SU's retired Goal for the soccer balls.  They are punched with a 1 1/2 inch punch.  The two at the front are popped up on some recycled foam.  The sentiment is one from Freshly Squeezed Stamps, now closed.  All this is mounted on Real Red, Basic Black and then Gina K.'s Luxury White.  The card was inspired by this one on Splitcoaststampers.

The House that Stamps Built - Thank You
City Crafter - You Matter

The Time Of Our Lives

This is my second football thank you card.  This one was for the team manager.  I was so grateful for her and was very happy to make the team card and to get her a little something.  My time is coming.

Stamps:  Stamping Up's Goal (retired) and Freshly Squeezed Stamps

We're In This Together

The soccer season has come to a close so I agreed to make the cards for the team to sign for the coaches.  We have 3 coaches and a manager.  After my 3rd card, I was struggling how to make them all different.  Unfortunately, I gave the best two  away before taking photos. Grrr.

The grass and soccer ball image are both retired sets from Stamping Up.  The sentiment is from a fantastic set from Freshly Squeezed Stamps, whom I'm really upset is closing this month.  I've bought six of their sets and love all of them.  Their shipping to Canada was one of the few that was quick and totally reasonable in price.

Come Sail Away

Sometimes simple is the way to go.  I wanted to make waves for the sailboat and layer them.  I don't have a wave punch or a digital cutter though.  After over an hour of mangling paper, I tried to draw waves over some streaked Baja Breeze and decided I liked the simple look better.  I love the simplistic sunset with all the bright colours.  I showed my scientifically bent DH and his response was that the boat was floating and that wasn't right.  *Sigh*

Stamps:  SU Toybox (retired) for the boat, Say Anything by Freshly Squeezed Stamps for the sentiment.
Inks: Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, Only Orange, Ruby Red
