Boo-Boo Kit for Paperworks Co Summer Challenge
I was given this cute little elephant and the inside sentiment to participate in Paperworks Co. Ultimate Summer Challenge. Before even seeing the inspiration challenge I was to do, I decided to make a boo-boo kit to try and convince my son to wear shorts. It's 34 degrees here in the shade and he hates wearing shorts because he is constantly falling when playing and his knees hurt. This boo-boo kit can fit in the smallest pocket of his daycare backpack and has 2 pockets. One for the bandages and the pocket behind it has the pocket for the antiseptic wipes. I deliberately chose bright and cheery colours to make him feel better. It seems to have worked - he wore shorts today without a fight!
Lucky for me, the inspiration challenge was to use the image to make a project that reflects the image. For example, a card with zebras may also have zebra print DP on it. Don't you love it when things just fall together. Usually these challenges are much harder for me.
The project is based on a gift-card holder tutorial that I found here on SPS. The image is mounted on scraps of ez mount on the left side to act like a match-box to hold the flap on the right closed. Inside there are two coin envelopes. The front one is to hold the band-aids (also known as plasters). The envelope behind it holds the antiseptic wipes. I ended up making my own coin envelopes after taking apart the only envelope in the house.
Please go Vote!
Today's the first day of voting in the . My team and I (Getting Inky) are competing for $100 in Paperworks Co. products. I hope you'll help and go vote! Voters get to pick their top 3 choices in each category.
