Peace On Earth

Please note this is my second post of the day. Please scroll down to see the first.

When I was first given this set by Heartfelt Creations, I honestly didn't know what to do with it. I couldn't get the windows to look right. A big thank you to HappyCrafter who gave me the tip to use a bit of red and orange around the edges before going over the whole window in yellow. It helps to give that warm, evening glow that I couldn't seem to achieve.

The sentiment was also difficult for me since it read "And Peace on earth Goodwill to Man." I can't start a sentence with "and". I just can't, even if it is a line of a song. Then I came up with with the idea of masking off the "and" and placing the "Goodwill to man" on the inside of the card. Now it just flows. I'm so happy with it. Thank goodness for gridded acrylic blocks.

The blue cardstock was run through my Big Shot using my Crafts Too folder. I then tore scraps to make the snow. The image was stamped on a piece of scrap paper, coloured with Copics and then cut out by hand. I ended up drawing a continuation of the path from the church, which I like. It seems to make it more inviting. The sentiment is cut out using my Nestie and then outlined with a Copic marker. I used Frosted Lace Stickles around the sentiment, the star and along the edges of the snow and the path. Love all the sparkle. When do I not love sparkles?
