So Thankful for You

This is actually the second card I've made this week for this week's Sketch with a Twist.  I really liked this layout and my first one was very clean and simple but I was afraid that many of you would miss the distressing that is the twist for the week so I did a one-eighty and  did much distressing on this card.  You will notice that I completely flipped the sketch because I wanted the turkey, I think it's a turkey, facing the sentiment.  The image is from MFP's Autumn Glory set and and I was very distressed when just as I finished colouring it, I dropped a Copic marker on the bottom edge of the panel.  This is why you see the very cool hinges holding onto my image.  If you look carefully you can probably see the mark on the centre pumpkin and just below it.  I didn't want to start again so I got creative.  The sentiment is from Dogwood blossoms.
I was quite happy with this card since I find masculine Thank You cards difficult and I always need a whack of them.  Our principal, head teacher and custodian are all male and I like to acknowledge all the hard work they do.

  1. Those hinges really tie-in well with this card. I am sure I have some and I've never known what to do with them, thanks for the idea :-)
